Quality Control
Champion has consistently remained committed to providing high-quality leather products.
The Importance of Quality Control
Strict quality control is a core competitive advantage in the tech leather goods industry. It ensures that every product meets the expected standards of function and appearance, protects brand reputation, and complies with international regulations.
Our quality control process covers four key stages: incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, and pre-shipment inspection. By identifying and eliminating defects before products leave the factory, we help reduce return risks and protect the interests of wholesale customers.
Incoming Quality Control

During the procurement process, all leather and auxiliary materials must undergo incoming random inspections before entering the production line, ensuring the stability of the product’s appearance right from the source.
- Incoming material inspection: We verify that the leather material and thickness meet production requirements to ensure stable processing.
- Color matching: We compare colors against the Pantone standard color chart, with Delta E maintained at or below 1.5.
- Surface defect inspection: We check for scratches, bubbles, color spots, fading, and other visible defects.
- Accessory inspection: We verify the specifications and quality of magnetic closures, buckles, zippers, and inner suede lining.
- Environmental compliance: All materials comply with REACH and RoHS standards and are free from harmful heavy metals and azo dyes.
In-Process Quality Control
Every step of our production line is executed in accordance with SOPs. Quality inspectors conduct roving inspections throughout the entire production process to promptly detect anomalies and prevent the creation of defective products. Inspections are carried out based on customer drawings, approved samples, or internal process specifications to ensure consistent product quality.
- Cutting process: Dimensions are controlled according to confirmed standards to ensure clean edges and no obvious burrs.
- Sewing process: Stitch density and seam strength are carefully controlled to avoid broken threads, skipped stitches, or unstable stitching.
- Assembly process: We ensure accurate positioning of magnetic closures, card slots, and cutouts for proper structural alignment.
- Surface finishing: We ensure crisp logo embossing, even edge painting, and a clean appearance free from bubbles and other surface defects.

Final Quality Control

Our finished products must pass three major inspections—appearance, functionality, and durability—before packaging and shipment, and compliant test reports must be provided.
The leather surface is free from scratches, stains, color variation, and delamination.
The stitching is neat and even, with no exposed thread ends.
The logo is clear and positioned according to specifications.
The metal hardware is smooth and clean, with no rust or oxidation.
Device fit and removal are tested to ensure smooth insertion and removal.
Color fastness measures the ability of leather material to retain its original color and resist fading during use.

We conduct aging tests by exposing the leather to environmental conditions—such as light and high temperatures—that simulate daily use. By comparing color differences before and after testing, we evaluate the stability of the leather’s color.
Used to evaluate how the leather surface performs under prolonged friction, including pilling, color loss, and surface wear.

We simulate daily contact scenarios such as pockets, bags, and desktops, subjecting the leather to repeated rubbing and scratching to verify surface durability and long‑term appearance retention.
Used to confirm the magnetic holding force and stability of the MagSafe structure in real‑world use.

We perform multi‑angle, repeated attachment and detachment tests to assess whether the case can securely hold the device or accessories during shaking, pocket use, and movement.
Used to assess whether the leather changes color, bleeds, or becomes stained when exposed to perspiration.

We simulate hand sweat and extended skin contact by immersing and wiping the leather with standardized sweat solutions, then observe color stability and the tendency of the surface to become contaminated.
Used to evaluate whether the leather develops cracks, deformation, or delamination under repeated bending.

We simulate real usage scenarios such as opening and closing, folding, and installation/removal, applying cyclic flex tests to critical structural areas to verify long‑term structural durability.
Used to determine the overall stability of the leather over time and under changing environmental conditions.

We combine light exposure, temperature and humidity changes, and accelerated aging cycles to observe variations in color, hand feel, and structure, and to assess the product’s service life and reliability.
Outgoing Quality Control
Pre-shipment inspection serves as the final line of defense before products leave the factory. Every shipment must undergo a comprehensive inspection—covering all required criteria—prior to packing and dispatch to ensure full compliance with order specifications.
Appearance and Functional Re‑inspection
Appearance and functional re‑inspection is carried out on sampled batches according to finished product inspection standards to ensure stable and consistent quality.
Dimensional verification and actual machine testing
The dimensions of sampled units are checked against the order specs, and fit is verified with real devices of the corresponding brand and model.
Quantity and Packaging Inspection
The actual packing quantity is 100% checked against the order, and each item’s barcode, model, and color labeling are fully verified against the information on the outer carton markings.

Each shipment is accompanied by a comprehensive QC report—including sample sizes, test results, defect rates, and photographic records—provided with the goods or sent to the customer in advance, ensuring full traceability.

Third-Party Inspection
Upon request, we can arrange for an internationally recognized third-party inspection agency to conduct an independent inspection prior to shipment. We welcome visits to our factory and offer full cooperation, ensuring complete transparency with nothing to hide.
We combine sustainable materials with superior craftsmanship to provide customized solutions that meet your brand's stringent requirements for luxury.
