Why Smart Glasses Need a Custom Glasses Case
Standard glasses cases are typically designed for conventional eyewear. They provide storage and basic protection against scratches and pressure. AI smart glasses have cameras, microphones, speakers, and other electronic components built into their frames. For some models, the case design must also account for in-case charging.
Internal Support Designed Around the Glasses
Using a device sample or available drawings, we map the folded profile and supportable areas, then leave clearance around the lenses, camera lenses, buttons, ports, and other features present on that model. Molded supports or cut pads limit movement; soft lining reduces direct friction at contact points, seams stay clear of optical surfaces, and finger room is left for removal.
Brand and Model Assessment
AI glasses from Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, Xiaomi, and Rokid vary in folded profile, temple structure, and component layout. Champion assesses the specified generation and frame using a device sample or available drawings, then confirms fit at the sample stage.
Daily use and Travel Portability
Daily commuting, work, and travel bring different storage priorities. Some projects place more emphasis on shell support; others focus on carry volume, weight, or compact storage when the case is empty. Construction is selected around the device dimensions, how it will be carried, and whether accessories need a separate compartment.
Hard-Shell Leather Glasses Cases
A molded PC, ABS, or comparable rigid shell provides the case structure, with leather wrapped around the exterior. The insert and lining are shaped around the glasses. This construction suits projects that require a fixed shape and a more rigid case body.
Semi-Rigid Leather Glasses Cases
A molded EVA or composite support layer forms the case, with leather wrapped around it. The support thickness and interior padding can be adjusted to the device dimensions and the project’s requirements for weight, volume, and support.
Foldable Magnetic Glasses Cases
A foldable support structure and magnetic closure create a protective space for the glasses. Once the glasses are removed, the empty case can be folded down to take up less storage space.
Smart Glasses Storage Cases
Separate compartments for the glasses and accessories, with dividers to limit movement and contact while carried. The exterior material and lining are selected for the project.
The Role of Leather in Smart Glasses Cases
Smart glasses cases are handled, opened, and carried throughout the day. Leather wrapped around a rigid shell improves grip and keeps the shell from rubbing directly against tabletops, phones, and other items. Color, texture, and embossed details also help the case match the eyewear brand’s visual identity.
We select top-grain leather, bio-based materials, or microfiber according to the product’s positioning. The outer wrap and interior lining are specified for the different surfaces they contact. Abrasion resistance, sweat resistance, and performance in hot and cold conditions are tested against the project’s requirements.
